Summary

The User Acceptance Tester will be responsible for the testing of internal and external-facing applications developed by the company and third-party vendors through an understanding of the software release cycle. This will include the creation of testing plans, organization, and management of user test groups, identifying and submitting user stories and bugs, as well as troubleshooting and support of our production environment.  Applicants should bring experience working on the implementation of risk engines in a banking environment.

Overview

JOB DUTIES

  • Coordinate, test, and evaluate new software releases based on the software release cycle
  • Create testing plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Execute testing on test cases and business process scenarios in both QA and UAT environments.
  • Perform QA testing and submit detailed bugs to the development team(s) based on testing results.
  • Manage and guide user test groups through the testing process
  • Compile user testing results and subsequently identify/submit bugs and user stories to our development team(s)
  • Verify test results using system documentation and knowledge and understanding of system requirements
  • Break down business processes and investigate issues as they are identified
  • Create, submit, and follow up on bugs that are submitted to the development team and/or business analysts
  • Work well within a diverse team setting and work collaboratively with other departments and roles.
  • Be detail-oriented, analytical, and quickly comprehend new processes, systems and software.
  • All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five years of experience testing in a technology environment such as software development, systems analysis, or database administration
  • Market Risk Background
  • Experience with OTC Derivatives & OTC Stress Testing
  • Experience with identifying and documenting product bugs and/or user stories
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with SQL scripting/queries
  • Experience with R scripting & queries
  • Experience with C++ Scripting & queries
